TOO Early...

Hayden woke up at 4:40am today.... WAY too early. I tried all my tricks to get her to go back to bed, but she wasn't having it. Luckily I went to bed early last night, well actually I fell asleep on the couch watching Super Nanny. I can't wait for nap time!! =)

Lukasz is snowboarding today, he's so excited. He bought a new board and bindings so he can't wait to break them in! My mom is coming out to watch Hayden while I work tonight, and my friend Jenn and her daughter Riley are planning on coming over for a visit as well. Although I have to work tonight, I am really looking forward to a relaxing weekend. As much as we need this rain, I wish it was nice and sunny so we could go play at the park. I don't think I could EVER live somewhere that got snow during the winter... I couldn't stand to be couped up in the house with Hayden ALL day. We enjoy being outside WAY too much. Rain Rain go away....

PowerStroll

I am SO excited to be doing the powerstroll class again! It is SUCH a great workout and so fun to chat with the moms! It's basically an exercise class lead by a fabulous woman who leads us all over Central Park in San Mateo. We run, skip, do push ups, leg lifts, climb the bleachers... basically she uses every inch of the park to create a fun yet effective workout! I was doing this last spring and summer, but then I got too busy with work, and Hayden's nap time fell right at powerstroll time. I joined again today, and I feel GREAT! I also went out to coffee with two moms after class and then we let the little ones play at the park for awhile. I once again feel MOTIVATED! I totally believe that if you have fun while you exercise it doesn't seem like such a chore! Wish me luck on my weight loss! I want to look hot for my wedding in mexico!

MY nose!!!

I hate feeling this way! I am not sure if I have a cold or just major bad allergies! It feels more like allergies, which I would actually prefer a cold since I have yet to find an allergy medication that works for me! My nose itches so bad, I sneeze a million times every minute and I am all clogged too! UGH!
On a positive note, Hayden slept in her crib last night from 7pm-5am without waking up!! Good girl! Then at 5am we let her cry her self back to sleep and she woke up again at 6am, then we brought her in bed with us to snuggle and we all fell asleep again until 7am! I am so proud of Hayden for not only falling asleep at night on her own, but for staying asleep all night! It was such a LONG road to get to this point.... but YAY we did it! I love her and all but I really hate sharing our bed! It's already bad enough that Lukasz hogs the bed!!!
I have a long week of work ahead of me... wish Hayden and I good luck! We aren't use to working this much so it will be interesting!
By the way.... I saw the video of the man who got shot by BART police, and it was pretty disturbing to see. I should have listened to the news anchors warning and to look away! From seeing the video it looked like there was no reason for them to shoot him, I feel very upset for his family. He had a 4 year old daughter. There better have been one hell of a reason to shoot him... if not.... I hope the officer gets what he deserves!

I am SO excited for 2009!! I am planning on making it the BEST year of my life to date! Lukasz and I started it off right by spending two hours at the gym. Sounds like a lot but we did an hour of weights and an hour of cardio. I feel so ready to make this healthy change in my life not to mention I want to look HOT in my wedding dress come September. When we got home we started some serious cleaning in our house. I am so annoyed with this mold problem we have!! Mold is NASTY and so hard to get rid of... if you can ever get it to go away!! Anyways... although we didn't start off 2009 with Hayden here with us.... she was in our thoughts! I am sure she is having a blast with grandma and grandpa! I hope that each and everyone of you make 2009 everything you want it to be!! XOXO

Christmas time

I LOVE Christmas! Every year I look forward to this holiday. There are so many things I love about this season... I love to decorate my house, I love the smells, and most importantly I love spending lots of time with my family and friends! This year should be fun since Hayden will be able to open her own presents! Last year she was only 3 weeks old!! Of course, I also love having time off work! I am off from 12/23-01/02!

It's TOO cold out!

Usually I am a fan of winter. I am one of those people you see wearing flip flops in December. This year it's a different story for me, I am hating the cold weather. I do think it may be due to the fact that it went from the low 70's to BAM! the low 40's!! I guess I am also missing warmer weather so I can take Hayden to the park but also so I don't have to run from my house to the car to avoid getting Hayden soaking wet from the rain or frozen from the cold weather. Oh how I miss this...

Another Party for Hayden

Today we are celebrating Hayden's birthday with some of our friends. I am looking forward to seeing everyone... it's so hard to get our friends together lately!!

Oh... and I forgot to mention before.... Hayden's first official word is "Hi"! She waves at people... and animals and says "hi" is this sweet, cute, innocent little voice! You have to hear it! I also think she says cat and that, but it's not as clear as hi is.

Well I am off to start preparing things for her party! Hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday and a great week!

PS... I miss being pregnant!

The Mysterious Blue Streak!

Saturday evening as Lukasz and I were crossing the San Mateo Bridge, we noticed this strange blue streak in the cloudy, sunset sky. We both started to blink our eyes thinking it was one of those flashes of light you get in your eyes sometimes (know what I am talking about??), then we realized that we were both seeing it, and it wasn't our eyes playing tricks on us! Pretty cool right...??!?

Today is a very special day in our lives... Hayden is ONE today! The year sure has flown by, but I have made sure to enjoy every moment of it! Okay Okay... so I didn't enjoy the 1am feedings, but it is all worth it!! The one thing that I always new I wanted to be in life was a mother, but I never expected it to be this wonderful! I feel so lucky to have such a beautiful, happy and healthy daughter. I can't wait to celebrate many more years with her!

On another note.... we had a GREAT Thanksgiving weekend with family! Hayden had tons of fun at grandma and grandpas, but was excited to see us on Wednesday! Thursday we celebrated with my moms side of the family at my aunt Karens. My family is always fun to be around....we are always laughing! Friday I met up with some old high school friends for a late bite to eat.... it always makes me miss them more when I get a chance to spend time with them. I have such awesome friends, it's just too bad we all live so far apart! Then on Saturday we got together with my dads side of the family at my cousin Tony's house in Dublin. Hayden got to play all day with her little cousin Griffin and his puppy! She had a blast playing in all the fall leaves as well! Sunday was another big day for her. We had professional pictures taken and then celebrated her birthday with grandma and grandpa Pason, as well as uncle Robert.

And here we are.... Monday... her birthday!! She went to the doctors this morning for her one year check up! She's one healthy girl... 21.2 lbs (gained about 14 lbs in her first year of life) and 30 inches! She is getting SO big SO fast!

I am really excited to start this blog about our family! I tried before to start another blog, but just lost interest.... so this time I am going to do everything in my power to write as often as possible! I think it will be a great way to keep family and friends in the loop with our lives. Hayden is growing up so fast, she is almost ONE, and I want to make everyone feel that they can watch her grow and hear about her daily adventures!

Today my parents are coming to pick Hayden up and take her to their house in Manteca. Lukasz and I will join them in Manteca at some point on Wednesday. I haven't miss a day yet of Hayden's life.... and as much as I will miss her while she's at grandma and grandpa's I think I will enjoy getting a full nights rest, sleeping in, and NOT worrying about all the dirty bottles that need washing! Hopefully she won't miss mommy and daddy too much( I know she won't... but I like to tell myself she will... ha ha)! I think I will use some of my time to work on the hair clips I started making (www.fiddlediddle.com), start decorating for Christmas, and lay on the sofa and be LAZY!
